Our hotel boasts a prime location overlooking Lake Windermere, just a short walk from the vibrant village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and its bustling boat services that traverse the lake's length. This makes it effortless to visit Ambleside, Brockhole, Wray Castle, and Lakeside without needing a car. The Lakes Hotel & Spa, previously known as the Burnside Hotel & Spa, offers some of the finest on-site amenities in the area, with half its rooms featuring private balconies with hot tubs, an on-site spa boasting poolside seating and a bar, stylish restaurant, cocktail bar, bike rentals, wakesurfing, and paddleboarding. Our concierge has curated numerous guided walks that begin right from our hotel gates. In the Lake District, The Lakes Hotel & Spa is just 30 minutes' drive from the M6 motorway. The village centre's shops, boutiques, and restaurants are a mere 2-minute stroll away, while Windermere train station is only 10 minutes away, and we can arrange for our Bentley to collect you from the station if needed. With everything at your doorstep, there's no need to worry about transportation. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. A damage deposit of GBP 50 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Please contact the property in advance for extra beds and children cots. Children under 16 years are permitted in the pool and Spa area from 08:00 to 14:00 (last entry to the pool is 1:00). On arrival you will be required to present the card you have made your deposit/pre-payment with at hotel reception. This card will be swiped for a minimum value of £50.00 plus any outstanding balances to allow charges to your room. Please note, unless previously arranged with Lakes Hotel and Spa, we do not accommodate any groups/parties. Hotel bedrooms are available to check in from 3.00pm and apartments are available to check in from 4.00pm.
